Westminster has always valued education and the desire to continue learning. The WEST fund was established in 1967 to provide support for post-secondary education expenses. Applicants for an educational gift must be: (1) accepted for enrollment in an institution of higher education, and (2) a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church or involved in the life of the church, participating regularly in WPC events and activities.
Awards will not exceed $500 per student per year and are based on availability of funds. Awards are to be used for post-secondary tuition, books, and other expenses directly related to that education. Applications can be made annually for no more than four years.
Once this application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Mission and Fellowship Commission. Students will be notified of the results and checks will be awarded at the beginning of August.
