For the past 10 years Westminster has participated in pressing our Congress to help those whom Jesus calls us to serve by supporting the Farm Bill, our nation's most important nutrition program. About 75% of the Farm Bill funding goes to our Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which helps to feed over 41 million people annually. This bill was up for renewal last year but got sidelined by other priorities. While we get along with temporary measures, we want to urge Congress to reauthorize the Farm Bill for the next five years by this September.
