DESCRIPTION:Join us for contemplative worship centered on the themes of healing and wholeness\, featuring candlelight\, songs\, scripture\, time for silent reflection with singing bowls\, prayer\, and laying on of hands for those who would like to participate. “Laying on of hands” is a practice in the Presbyterian tradition where we simply place a hand on a person’s shoulder as a representation of God’s Spirit resting on them. It is a powerful reminder of the prayers of the community and God’s presence with us as we cry out to God.

DESCRIPTION:Thirty Minutes of Exceptional Organ Music\nPlan now to take a refreshing musical break on six Thursday afternoons at five o’clock. \nWestminster Organ Summer returns for its 15th season. Enjoy the free 30-minute concerts in the cool\, calm space of Westminster’s sanctuary. The concerts are friendly for all ages and informal\, so come as you are. \nOrgan Summer offers the community a unique chance to hear an appealing variety of sacred and secular organ music during the Upper St. Clair Farmers’ Market in the church’s south parking lot. It’s a winning combination of great music and fresh food. \nThe six organists\, all from Pittsburgh churches\, will each demonstrate the beauty of the magnificent Austin organ in a distinctive and memorable way. \nOrgan Summer is a musical outreach to the community sponsored by Music & Arts at Westminster Presbyterian Church and the generosity of the performers. All organists donate their time and talent. A freewill offering defrays their expenses. Checks are welcome\, payable to Westminster Presbyterian Church\, with Music & Arts/Organ Summer on the memo line.
