SUMMARY:Hunger Action Month: Rise Against Hunger
DESCRIPTION:Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness\, for they will be filled.\nMatthew 5:6. \n \nHunger Action Month\nHunger Action Month is a time for us to come together and support the various food insecurity programs of Westminster. Your donation helps fund events for StreetMOMs and Meals on Wheels at The Crossroads. It also supports international missions\, such as Haiti Rice and Beans\, as well as local mission partners\, including South Hills Interfaith Movement\, Living Stones\, and Food 2 Go. \nEach year\, at the end of February\, we celebrate the success of our campaign by volunteering with Rise Against Hunger to pack over 25\,000 meals for communities around the world. You\, along with your family\, friends\, neighbors\, and other community members\, are encouraged to join us and experience the joy of serving together through this meaningful mission project. \nFor more information\, contact Emily Shubilla. \n \nDONATE \nOr\, text “WPCUSC HUNGER” to 73256 to give using your mobile device. \n\n \nRise Against Hunger\nSign up today for a 90-minute shift and take part in this incredible\, hands-on mission opportunity benefiting Rise Against Hunger\, an international hunger relief nonprofit that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food and other aid to people in developing nations. \nWe will work together in an assembly-line format to package meal pouches\, combining rice\, soy\, dehydrated vegetables\, and a flavorful vitamin mix that includes 21 essential vitamins and minerals. \nVolunteers as young as 4 years old are encouraged to participate! We need 200 volunteers for this one-day event\, so invite your friends\, neighbors\, and coworkers. This will be a meaningful opportunity for fun\, fellowship\, and service for everyone. \nREGISTRATION\nPlease sign the liability waiver before registering.
